When R2D2 started beeping and whorling, Che had second thoughts on whether or not he'd actually be able to help.

I’m Not Going to Smile Anymore

Apparently, Teo frequently holds photo sessions with Che before I get home in the evenings. It gives them something to do. When Che decides he’s had enough smiling for the camera, funny things happen.

Labor Day Trip

To celebrate labor day, Teo and I took Che for a little New England day trip to Salem and Newburyport.  It was one of my best days of the summer, now that it’s almost over.  We went to the Peabody Essex Museum, which I would not recommend for toddlers.  Che’s favorite part was snack in the atrium (below) and playing with the wooden duck models.

In Front of the Salem Witch Museum

We had lunch at Thai Palace  and walked around the town a little.  You probably can’t tell, but that statue in the background is a witch.  Yes, Teo and Che are in front of the Salem Witch Museum, which we didn’t go into.  And no, Che is not supposed to sit like that, but he didn’t scream.  If we had put all the straps on him, he would have.

After Salem, we headed over to my all-time favorite beach at Plum Island, just outside of Newburyport MA.  I like it so much that I considered moving to Newburyport right before I got married.  Good thing I didn’t, or I wouldn’t have meet Teo.

I think I may have to delete all the photos Teo took of me in a bathing suit, but the ones he took of Che are pretty good.  You can see his photo-taking skills below.

I Love thos Little Footprints!

I love those little footprints,
and Che loves his rake and lopatica!

The thing about photos is that it is often difficult to get the photo you really want, which is when Photoshop comes in handy.  There were a couple of kids happily playing in the waves when Che was playing tug-o-war with the kite.  I’m glad the kids were having fun, but I like the photo much better with out their smiling faces.

After a wonderful day, we came home and Che needed a bath.  Sometimes he’s just so cute we can’t stop taking pictures.  At least this one is still modest.

I am so grateful for my wonderful husband and son and the joy they bring to my life.  And I’m grateful for those who fight injustice in daily life, like those for whom the Labor Day holiday was signed into law.
