Yes, I do think Che is the most adorable baby in the world. I’m supposed to. He’s currently my only son. But seriously…when he has moments like these you have to agree with me at least a little.

So, you may have noticed the copyrights on the photos. I’ve decided to copyright all the images of my son on this blog to protect his image from being used without permission. I understand the creative commons and other open source copyright movements that are about, and I agree with them. But my son isn’t old enough yet to understand them. I’d like him to have some control over photos of him in the future so I’m copyrighting them. I know it seems petty, and it may not make a difference, but with a copyright it gives us a choice.

The copyright may prevent him from becoming a web-lebrity, but that is kind of the point. We’ll give him a few years until he can understand and then give him the choice. Who knows…in the mean time, copyright law could be completely thrown out the window…like throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

Oh. If you want a photo without the copyright, just ask. Friends and family get them for free.
